The make-up artist Greg Cannom has developed the look of Khan in the movie. Principal Photography of the movie began in Delhi in May 2014. The movie was ready to release in early 2015 but due to injuries sustained by Khan during the filming of Happy New Year, the film’s release date was postponed to 14 August 2015. The post production involving some complex visual effects due to this, they pushed the release of Fan once again to early next year (2016).
